The mission of the Grand County Builders Association is to be an advocate for the building industry. We are the collective voice to be heard in the political arena, a voice in the environmental arena, and most importantly, a voice in our community.

As a member of the HBA, you’re also a member of the Colorado Association of Home Builders and the National Association of Home Builders. As members, industry professionals show their commitment to a healthy business environment, professional and personal growth and their own business achievements.

Benefits of Membership

Networking Opportunities are one of the greatest advantages of membership. Each meeting or event is an opportunity to talk with other contractors and suppliers about new ideas and methods that could help with your business. Access to the list of members is another way membership can assist in making contacts.

Educational Opportunities are provided through the builders associations and have included topics in the past such as OSHA training, roofs and ice damming, fire mitigation, safety, contracts, insurance classes, and lien releases. Many educational materials are available through State and National.

3 in 1 Membership. As a member of GCBA you are also a member of the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and have access to all member benefits of each organization.

Political Action is a very important amenity of membership. On a national level, at the state level and particularly at the local level, the Home Builders Association is a respected and powerful voice in the political arena. In 2000 the CAHB was instrumental in the defeat of what could have been the devastating Amendment 24 no growth initiative. In 2003 CAHB successfully supported the passing of HB1161, Constructive Litigation Reform.
